Genus Pseudolarix, also known as Golden Larch, is a type of tree that belongs to the Pinaceae family. This tree is native to China and is widely grown in gardens and parks across the world. Pseudolarix is a monotypic genus which means it has only one species, Pseudolarix amabilis. Although there are no synonyms for Pseudolarix, there are other types of larch trees that are commonly mistaken for Golden Larch. These include Larix decidua or European Larch, and Larix kaempferi or Japanese Larch. Despite their similarities, Pseudolarix is unique with its needles that turn golden-yellow in the autumn and cones that resemble a pineapple.
