The Austro-Hungarian Krone was a currency used by the Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1892 to 1918. The Krone was divided into 100 Heller. Some variants of the Krone also included the words "Corona" and "Koruna" in its name. Synonyms for Austro-Hungarian Krone include Austrian Krone, Hungarian Korona, Austrian Crown, Hungarian Crown, Austrian-Hungarian Crown, and Danube Crown. These synonyms reflect the dual monarchy of Austria and Hungary during the time the currency was in use. The Austro-Hungarian Krone became obsolete after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the end of World War I.
